This workshop will guide participants through a "design thinking" experience that will help them better understand what sustainable design is, what circular design is and how the two approaches work together to help creatives ensure that their products are better for the planet and people.
Workshop content will be based on years of experience training designers in the fashion industry and provide the latest ideas and examples of innovation from live research projects carried out at the Centre for Circular Design at the University of the Arts London.
The team in charge of the workshop, led by professor and researcher Becky Earley, will work with the participants using a proprietary methodology called "The TEN" to achieve a deep immersion around circular design that will enable them to discover where key decisions are made during the fashion design process, and move from sustainability to circularity in their collections.
